It is a typical apartment of the Ensanche of Barcelona, about 18 meters deep and 6 meters wide. The refurbishment reorganises the existing space, avoiding the excessive previous segregation. The new functional programme divides the daily activities into two main areas. The public area, oriented towards the street façade, is an open and continuous space. The 'false' continuity of time in cinema, with its 24 frames per second, is reinterpreted as the formal solution of the ceiling. 48 different sections reconstruct a hanging landscape that filters the artificial light and air conditioning. Several of these sections fold vertically to form shelves and a table in the studio area. Two other walls are covered with magnetic board paint, a receptive canvas for brainstorming during long conversations after meals. A sliding glass door separates the public area from the private ones. The two bedrooms have access to the gallery on the rear façade, whose apparent dimension is doubled thanks to a floor-to-ceiling mirror.

El proyecto tiene como objetivo mejorar un apartamento para sus nuevos dueños: una pareja formada por un director de cine, una editora de libros y su pequeña hija.
