The Corta de Covas and the Corta da Ribeirinha are the most apparent witnesses of the former activity. A closer inspection reveals other traces, more subtle, all around: large limestone blocks, old millstones, old paths, abandoned galleries, archaeological ruins that are surfacing summer after summer due to the intermittent excavations\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The recovery of this unique environment can only be achieved through diverse and singular actions. A visitor centre, a roof for archaeological excavation,  accommodation for visitors, and two cantilevered balconies over the mining voids, are some of the projects that will be placed on the site, creating a new stratum to join those which, for millenniums, have shaped this landscape.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Una antigua explotaci\u00f3n romana a cielo abierto de la que quedan dos grandes huellas en el terreno.
